MOVIE STILLS + MOVIE TRAILER FOR MARTIN LAWRENCE NEW ...

Gossip :
Martin Lawrence is starring in a new laugh out loud comedy which I'm sure everyone (at least myself) will want to see after they see the trailer AND once it hits theaters next February. The name of the movie is Welcome Home, Roscoe Jenkins (it was originally titled, The Better Man); and the cast alone may be all the motivation you need to want to rush out to see it during its opening weekend. Maybe. The film also stars: Joy Bryant, James Earl Jones, Cedric the Entertainer, Mo'Nique (Imes-Jackson), Mike Epps, Michael Clarke Duncan, Margaret Avery ('Shug Avery' from The Color Purple), Nicole Ari Parker, Affion Crockett (Nick Cannon's Wild 'N Out) and more.

Anyway, Welcome Home, Roscoe Jenkins, is the story of RJ Stevens (Lawrence), who left behind his modest Southern upbringing to become a successful Hollywood TV show host, with million of adoring fans. After his parents (played by Jones and Avery)request that he come home for their 50th wedding anniversary, Jenkins packs up his high maintenance, spoiled princess of a fiancee (Bryant) and his 10-year-old-son and heads back to Georgia. Ready to impress his down home kin with how much he's changed, RJ will prove he's not the walking disaster they used to pick on. At least, that's the plan...But when his crazy, lovable family, which consist of: Roscoe's big brother, Otis (played by Duncan); his sly-ass cousin, Reggie (played by Epps); and his smart-mouth sister, Betty (played by (Imes-Jackson), calls him out on his big-city attitude and challenges him at every turn, he is forced to take a hard look at the man he's become.

Roscoe Jenkins is scheduled to hit theaters on February 8th, 2008.
