JOHN CARTER
Starring Canadian Taylor Kitsch
Based on the 11-volume Barsoom series by Edgar Rice Burroughs – primarily the series' century-old first novel, A Princess of Mars – John Carter is the tale of an ex-Confederate captain (Kitsch) who is mysteriously transported to Mars (or Barsoom, as it is known by its inhabitants) in the midst of a war between the planet's nations. A surprisingly action-packed affair for a Disney tale, John Carter offers some real thrills. Check out our review here.
