The Voices On The Blog
You know all those 'voices' in our heads? Where when you sit down to write you're not sure who will be controlling the keyboard that day? (Just me, then.) Well, I have four of those voices and they all fill these pages depending on who needs to be heard most on any particular day or subject.
Please feel free to contact, converse or debate with any one of them at hms(at)hermelness.com, via the contact link – big pink button on the left which says 'Contact' – (do try and keep up) or through social media as there is no inline comment form on this blog. Why? That story and it's follow-up can be read here.
HerMelness is an alter-ego, an exaggeration of a small part of her author, Melinda Sealy Fargo. The part that was raised 'old school' and who laments the passing of some back-to-basics parenting. She is often seen sorting out 'The Gibberish Generation' one teenager at a time.
Melinda is a widowed parent to four young people, and is also the creator and author of Mrs. HerMelness Speaks and the founder of the commercial company, The Gift Of Words Ltd. And, contrary to public opinion, HerMelness is not the boss of me! Ooh, I just slipped out of the third person there. Damn, I'm doing it again. Make it stop.
Talking of which…
The voice for those practises and/or annoyances which just have to be made to stop. Nothing as common as a 'rant' you understand, although some have hurt their eyes trying to make out the difference!
For those days when bereavement insists on being heard. Some days are better than others and, you know what they say, if you didn't cry, you'd laugh. Some days The Black Widow does both.
