Disney has bought the rights to Neil Gaiman's The Graveyard Book.  It follows a boy who is raised by ghosts after his family dies.

Julianne Moore has been offered a role in the remake of Carrie.

Adam McKay is reportedly wanted by Warner Bros. to direct a remake of Uptown Saturday Night.  Will Smith and Denzel Washington may star.

Mark and Jay Duplass (Jeff Who Lives At Home) will adapt Mule for Todd Phillips.  The book follows a man who becomes a drug mule in order to support his family.

Rooney Mara has been cast in Spike Jonze's currently untitled film.  The movie, which stars Joaquin Phoenix, is about a guy who falls in love with the voice of a computer.

Robert Rodriguez recently said he's planning an adaptation of Frank Franzetta's Fire And Ice.

Jessica Chastain has reportedly been offered a role in Iron Man 3.

Gina Carano (Haywire) is said to be in talks to appear in the next Fast And Furious entry.

Sam Raimi may direct a remake of Poltergeist for MGM.

Fox recently commented that it hopes to start work on a sequel to Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes this summer.

Mel Gibson is rumored to have a role in Machete Kills.

Colin Farrell has been offered the lead role in Akira Goldsman's adaptation of Winter's Tale.  The book dealt with a man who breaks into a home and ends up falling in love with a terminally-ill woman.
