After 17 years together, comedan Martin Lawrence and wife Shamicka Lawrence have decided to end their marriage.
A representative for Lawrence confirmed the news to People, telling the magazine that the couple made the mutual decision to "part ways."
"Out of love and respect for one another we will continue to remain friends and raise our two beautiful daughters together," said the couple said in a joint statement, reports Entertainment Tonight.
Martin and Shamicka dated for 15 years before they tied the knot in 2010. Eddie Murphy and Denzel Washington were among the 120 wedding guests at the intimate ceremony held at his home in Beverly Hills.
The couple has two daughters, Amara and Iyana.
