In his interview promoting the upcoming comedy “2 Guns” this morning on CNN’s “New Day,” actor Denzel Washington jokingly volunteered to be the “backup” voiceover guy for CNN.
Washington, of course, was referring to CNN’s use of actor James Earl Jones to read its iconic “This is CNN” line — and whose voice rose to new prominence as the prerecorded announcer for “New Day.”
