We are happy to introduce our first Pacesetter of the week, Abbey Zwagerman. A native of Holland, Mich., Abbey received her Bachelors of Business Administration and Marketing from Grand Valley State University.
Her favorite part of her job? The environment here at Grand Marketing. "I really enjoy the work environment- all of my co-workers make coming to work everyday very enjoyable," she said.
Abbey was voted as this week's Pacesetter due to her determination for success and her never-give-up attitude for overcoming obstacles. As a cheerleading for GVSU, Abbey used her determination to nail her standing back tuck. Years of practicing only pushed her harder until she not only completed the move, but completed the standing back tuck consistently.
She defines a leader as, "someone everyone can look up to and go to for advice." For Abbey, that person is her mom who has been a consistent mentor in her life.
Others who want to become Pacesetters should "have confidence and believe in what you say." Pacesetters must be hard workers and keep their motivation running. "Surround yourself with the people you aspire to be," she said. "It will create a support network that benefits everyone."
